Stage 16

Stage 16 Breakdown:

Stage 16 is the first and only Time Trial of the Tour, and take the riders on 22km Hilly TT from Passy to Combloux. Passy is a small village located in the Alps, in Southeastern France. It’s the place where Professor Marie Curie died in 1934, the physicist and chemist most famous for being the first Female Nobel Prize winner, and the only one to win a Nobel Prize in two different fields. The finish town of Combloux is a another small village, located not far away in the the French Alps.

The stage itself suits a rider who is good to climb but who also can keep up the TT pace on the longer straights. It has similarities to Stage 20 of the Tour last year, a TT won by Wout van Aert ahead of his teammate Jonas Vingegaard in 2nd, and rival Tadej Pogacar in 3rd. With only seconds seperating the rivals this year, it can turn into an important TT!

Favorites:
| +++ | Jonas Vingegaard, Tadej Pogacar, Wout van Aert
| ++ | Mattias Skjelmose, Simon Yates, Simon Yates, Remi Cavagna
| + | Carlos Rodrigues, Tom Pidcock, Søren Wærenskjold

Tour Manager:
