Quick & Reliable Predictions
Stage 15 Breakdown:
Stage 15 bring the riders on a mountainous 183.9km journey from Champagnole to Plateau de Solaison. The final stage before the second rest day is another huge test for the GC contenders, featuring around 3950m of climbing. With a brutal summit finish after a series of demanding climbs through the Jura and Haute-Savoie, this is a stage where significant time gaps could be created.
The riders face several long climbs throughout the day before the decisive ascent to Plateau de Solaison. At 11.3km with an average gradient of 9.2%, the climb is one of the toughest of the race, with several sections reaching double-digit gradients. Unlike the previous mountain stages, there is no descent or flat run after the final climb, meaning any attack on the steep slopes can be rewarded all the way to the finish.
The GC teams are expected to control the race from the moment the road starts climbing, although an early breakaway could still have a chance if the favorites hesitate. More likely, the battle for the positions in the GC will play out on the final climb, with Pogacar expected to collect another stage to his collection.
