Quick & Reliable Predictions
Stage 13 Breakdown:
Stage 13 takes the riders on an individual time trial of 10.7km from Louhans-Châteaurenaud to Cormatin. Although short in distance, this is far from a straightforward test. The stage finishes with the steep climb to Cormatin, making it an explosive effort where the GC contenders can gain valuable seconds.
The opening kilometres are almost entirely flat, allowing the specialists to build speed before the road kicks up for the final 2.2km climb to the finish, averaging around 7.5%. Pacing will be crucial, as riders must balance a fast start with enough energy to produce a strong effort on the decisive uphill finish.
With the climbing favoring the GC riders over the pure time trial specialists, this is another important day in the battle for the yellow jersey. While the time gaps are unlikely to be huge, every second could prove decisive heading into the Alps.
