Quick & Reliable Predictions
Stage 11 Breakdown:
Stage 11 takes the riders on a flat 161.3km journey from Vichy to Nevers. After the demanding Bastille Day stage in the Massif Central, the sprinters return to center stage. With just around 1400m of climbing and only two short Category 4 climbs, everything points towards another bunch sprint.
The stage heads north through the Allier and Nièvre regions on mostly wide, rolling roads. An early intermediate sprint and two minor climbs offer opportunities for the points classification, but neither should trouble the fast men. The final kilometres into Nevers are flat and straightforward, giving the sprint teams every chance to organize their lead-outs for a high-speed finish.
The breakaway is expected to go clear early, but with several sprint teams eager to add another victory, they are unlikely to be given much freedom. Unless crosswinds or crashes disrupt the race, this should end in another bunch sprint.
